I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SPIVEY TUTORIAL SERVICE AND HERES WHYSo my youngest son has struggled with reading comprehension every since last school year. He struggled through 3rd grade but pulled through and this year as 4th grader he struggled even more and I was really worried about him falling to far behind. His reading scores for NC check in was no where near where he needed to be to pass and me and his mother really struggled to get through to him all year long. I reached out to Ms. Spivey and asked her would she be interested in tutoring him and of course she jumped on the challenge. Just so everyone knows he NEVER gets excited about showing us his grades for ELA he would always just say I’m trying my best and break down. MY SON HAS HAD ONLY ONE SESSION WITH MS. SPIVEY, I REPEAT ONE SESSION. He now comes home wanting to show me and tell me about his school work in detail, is super excited about how school is going, has started taking notes in class on his own which is something he’s never done before. Oh and I almost forgot He took a diagnostic test on reading that’s equivalent to the NC check-in and he passed that test by almost 40 points If you know your child is having trouble or just want your child to get that extra push you need to come see her as soon as possible You will definitely not regret it. Thank you so much Ms. Spivey and you know your buddy (my son) can’t wait to see you again this Sunday!

SPIVEY Tutorial Services is spectacular! I have a 3rd Grader, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the services. There are in-person sessions as well as virtual. This helps a lot with my busy schedule! Ms Spivey is also very flexible! She also had a keen insight, our first consultation, which made it easier to discover my daughter’s needs! Great attention to detail! My daughter is homeschooled, ,so it helps to have one-on-one sessions. This is our first time with a tutoring service, and I’m blown away! Highly recommended!!!
Have feedback you’d like to share with us? Don’t hesitate to reach out, we’d love to hear it.

ALEX SPIVEY
Meet the founder
My mission extends beyond just helping students with academics. I strive to ensure they are set up for success in every aspect of their lives through organization, independence, personal accountability, self-confidence, creativity, innovation,& more.
My business adds value to my clients by maximizing each individual's potential through tailored instruction which is based off of identified learning styles, multiple intelligences, personality traits, and areas of weakness and strength.
One of the biggest problems my company faced was due to my client demographic. The communities I serve are underrepresented and impoverished. Once I recognized this, I began offering virtual tutoring and also utilizing local libraries' resources.
I was homegrown in this area. Being from a small town, more specifically alouisburg NC, there weren't a lot of opportunities for me growing up. After traveling the world as a foreign exchange student in the prestigious Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange Program & matriculating through a HBCU (Shaw University), I gained new perspective and returned to inspire others to explore & be the epitome of what they want to see.
I push my clients to help them realize they are capable of way more than they give themselves credit. Also, it enlightens not just the student but the patent as well. A fresh pair of eyes can help you identify characteristics they may have been unaware of. However, all of my client's parents have hit the ground running with nurturing everything new I have taught them about their children. This brings me such joy knowing that my business is making a difference in their lives.
